Burger Time at Pickle Time |
| Time for a burger taste test
I was very pleased when Jeff sent me this short review. Pictures will follow shortly...
So I was driving through Duval on my way home from Oktoberfest and had a hankerin' for a good hamburger. Well we all know who to call if ya want to know where to get a good hamburger, so I called my good friend Tim. Tim said I should try out this new place called "Pickle Time” which is right on the south end of town. Seeing as I was right there I stopped and went in to find the place to be very clean and the staff friendly. So we ordered up - I got the bacon cheese burger with crispy bacon, fries and my favorite drink a blackberry shake. When the order arrived it looked very tasty so naturally I took a picture so all my good friends could see what a delicious meal I was about to enjoy. As you see in the photo there was no reason for disappointment. The bun was tasty. I'm not sure the type but it was very light and fluffy. The patty is 1/3 lb and charbroiled and all burgers are served with fries - HOT fries - someone remind me not to throw fries in my mouth as soon as they’re served. After the first bite I knew I had a burger worth eating. I’m not saying this burger was in the same class as, say, Bill & Bea’s in Centralia but the next time I’m in Duvall and wanting a burger, I’ll definitely stop.
The milkshake was very rich in flavor but they did not use real berries and it was most likely made from soft serve ice cream as opposed to hand dipped. Nonetheless it was still delicious.
So if you find yourself in Duvall wanting a fairly decent burger you won’t go wrong stopping at Pickle Time. Enjoy.
